Royal Mint

 

This mint and royal blue combination was inspired by a post I saw on Pinterest. I don't think I would have ever come up with this combination myself, but I really love it. Lately I've been experimenting with different color combinations, but I like to keep the pieces simple and limit the accessories.

Cowgirl

 

Nothing says spring time to me like a little white dress. The jean jacket and fringed booties give the outfit a bit of a western vibe, but here in Oklahoma that's always a good look. I've really been feeling this jean jacket lately and wearing it just about every other day.

I bought this skirt because I loved the unusual color combination of the floral pattern. What I didn't realize was how hard it would be to find pieces to pair it with. I tried pink and yellow tops that I have, but none of them were quite the right shade. I wasn't sure about this polka dot top at first, but I really like the combination. I've been trying to play with pattern mixing lately and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Olive + Floral

 

I've been looking for inspiration for what to wear with the olive green jeans and I really like the combination I ended up with. I wouldn't normally pair bright pinks and blues with olive green, but the floral pattern already has shades of darker green so it pulls it all together.

Cool Girl

 

Apparently Oklahoma forgot it was supposed to be Spring. After a couple weeks of beautiful weather, a cold front came through Sunday and has been lingering around this week. It even SNOWED. That's just wrong. Anyway, I thought the barelegged season was here to stay, but I had to break out the tights again. I also wanted to try something a little different so I put together this color combo. I'm still not completely convinced that lavender and army green go together, but I think I like it anyway. This jacket always makes me feel super cool so I think I could wear it with anything and it would be okay.

A little bit librarian

 

When I put this outfit together, I decided it looked a little bit like a librarian but I also decided that I was okay with that. I've been pretty obsessed with polka dots lately and I was having a polka dot craving so I put this outfit together around this shirt. I've paired it with this skirt before, but never with the ruffled cardigan and I like the result.

Lately I've been a little obsessed with statement necklaces. There are so many cute ones out there these days, but most of the time they are way out of my budget. One of my friends turned me on to this online auction site called Tophatter and I snagged this hot pink necklace for just $12.
